Funeral services for William Judy, 86, who died very suddenly at his home here Tuesday afternoon, March 7, of infirmities due to old age, wee held from the Oelke funeral home Friday morning, March 10, at 10:30 o'clock. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. J.P. Taken officiated. Burial was made in St. Joseph's cemetery.
William Judy, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Judy, was born at Rockford, Ill., Feb. 22, 1858. He had been a resident of Elkader for the past 50 years.
He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Abe Cheeseman of Mason City; five nephews, Charles, Henry and George Meyer of Elkader, Bernard Meyer of Fremont, Nebr., and Leo Meyer of Idaho; and one niece, Mrs. H.C. LaVorice of Fremont, Nebr.
Pallbearers were L.D. Smith, John Tresch, Dean Prouty, Oscar Shaw, Pearl Huggins and Werner Fassbinder.
