Guttenberg- Henry R. Fassbinder, 66, died Friday morning, Aug. 11, 1995, in Mercy Health Center, Dubuque, after a brief illness. Services: 10 a.m. Monday, St. Mary's Catholic Church, by the Rev. Paul Peters. Burial: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Guttenberg, where a wake service begins at 4 p.m.
Survivors include his wife, Winifred; a daughter, Julie Zittergruen, four sons, Henry Lee J., Dennis James and Tom R., a brother, Gerald Sr., and a sister, Kathleen Bockenstedt, all of Guttenberg.

Henry R. Fassbinder
Services for Henry R. Fassbinder, 66, of Guttenberg were conducted by Father Paul Peters at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 14, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Guttenberg.
Mr. Fassbinder died Friday morning, Aug. 11, 1995, at Mercy Health Center, Dubuque, following a short illness.
Visitation was Sunday at the Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home where the scripture wake service was held that afternoon.
Interment was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery with the following casket bearers: Kurt Biermann, Walter Ludovissy, Richard Harbaugh, James Eglseder, Eugene Nieland, Steve Parker and Jose Zittergruen.
Henry R. Fassbinder was born Dec. 8, 1928, on the family farm near Guttenberg, a son of Henry Joseph and Kathryn (Heck) Fassbinder. He received his education locally, served his country in the United States Air Force, worked for the John Deere Dubuque Works in Dubuque for many years, and was owner and operator of Fassbinder Small Engines.
On March 2, 1952, he was united in marriage at Witchita Falls, Texas to Winifred Carrier, who survives.
Surviving beside his wife, Winifred, are one daughter, Mrs. Julie (and Steve) Zittergruen; four sons, Henry Lee J. (and Sandra) Fassbinder, Dennis (and Brenda) Fassbinder, James Fassbinder, and Tom R. (and Sue) Fassbinder; one sister, Mrs. Kathleen Bockehstedt; one brother, Gerald Sr. (and Jaleen) Fassbinder; five grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren, all of Guttenberg.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Roger Dean, in infancy.
