Guttenberg- Eugene J. "Butch" Kann, 69, died Saturday morning in Veterans Administration Medical Center, Iowa City, following a long illness. He worked at the Duane Arnold nuclear power plant, Palo, until his retirement.

Survivors include a son, David of Phoenix, Ariz.; and a sister, Bernette Nuehring of Guttenberg.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Tuecke-Alynn's. Burial: St. Mary's Cemetery, with military services. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, where there will be a wake service at 8 p.m.
