Oelwein Daily Register, Sat., 17 Aug. 1946.

George A. Leas, 88, former Oelwein resident, died last evening at the Postville hospital after being ill since Monday.

He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Arnold Miche/Miehe (surname was very faint but looks like either one) and Mrs. M. J. Rogge, Oelwein, with whom he used to live.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. at the Methodist church in Oelwein. Burial will be in Monona.
