Mederville- Robert Lee Nading, 67, died Thursday morning, Feb. 10, 2000, in University Hospitals, Iowa City, after an extended illness. Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, Bethany Lutheran Church, Elkader, by the Rev. Jim Klosterboer. Burial: Mederville Cemetery, Mederville. Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Leonard Funeral Home, Elkader, and after 9:30 a.m. Monday at the church.

Survivors include his wife, Loretta; four sons, Robert of Rockford, Ill., Mark (Marge) of Gilbertville and Lee and Kenny, both of Cedar Rapids; three daughters, Deb (Paul) Theisen of Center Point, Pam (Dan) Bugbee of Las Vegas, Nev., and Cheryl Prosser of Cedar Rapids; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Jean (Bob) Parker of Garnavillo, Gloria Harris of Mederville and Lois (Bob) Knight of Rockford, Ill.; and two bothers, Calvin (Helen)Nading of Cedar Rapids and Russell (Ruth) Nading of Marion.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Paul; two brothers, Clarence, Jr., and Gilbert; and a sister, Margaret Harbaugh.

He was born March 4, 1932, in Guttenberg, Iowa, to Clarence and Frances Sylvester Nading. He attended Mederville Country School and graduated from Littleport High School. He was united in marriage to Loretta Koehn on July 10, 1976, in Hiawatha. Bob served four years in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean conflict. He retired from Rockwell-Goss in 1983 and then, along with his wife, operated The Mill Ltd. in Mederville for 11 years. Bob was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, Elkader, and Strawberry Point American Legion Post 218.

Bob was a caring man and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

A memorial fund has been established.
