John J. Holly, 41, of 435 Eighth Ave. SW, died Monday evening at the VA Hospital in Iowa City following a brief illness. A Cedar Rapids resident for 25 years, he was born Nov. 18, 1929, in Prairie du Chien, Wis. An employee of Wholesale Feeds Inc., he was a veteran of the Korean conflict.

Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Florence Holly of Cedar Rapids, and four sisters, Mrs. Orlando Fascher of Farmersburg, Mrs. Harlan Martens of Marion and Mrs. Charles Edaburn, Jr., and Mrs. Emmett Anderson both of Cedar Rapids.

Memorial services: Turner Chapel East at 10:30 a.m. Thursday by the Rev. Carroll VanAnda of Valley View Baptist Church. Graveside services: Monona at 1 p.m. Thursday. Friends may call at Turner East after 11 a.m. Wednesday.
