Guttenberg- Verna Mae Tomkins, 84, formerly of rural Osterdock, died Sunday afternoon in her home after a lengthy illness. Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, where friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today. Burial: Bethel Cemetery, rural Osterdock.

Survivors include two sons, Merle of Waterloo and Kenneth of Guttenberg; three daughters, Letha Moser, Katie Beth Herman and Lola Meyer, all of Guttenberg; and four brothers, Floyd Hyde of Fulton, Ill., Donald Hyde of Little York, Ill., Verl Hyde of Bushnell, Ill., and Virgil Hyde of Belvidere, Ill.
