Postville Herald, Wed., 7 May 1941. In the Luana column.

Herman Landt passed away suddenly Friday noon at his house about three miles south of Luana. He is survived by his widow and three children. Funeral services were held Monday at the Lutheran church at Monona.

A second item notes:

Mr. and Mrs. Will Garms and daughter and the latter's child of Mason City were Monday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Landt and also attended the funeral of Herman Landt at Monona.
