Monona- Irene Vera Elise Thiese, 91, of Decorah, formerly of Monona, died Saturday, Sept. 25, 2004, in Lutheran Park Trinity Center, Des Moines, following a brief illness. Services: 11 a.m. Thursday, St. Paul Lutheran Church, Monona. The Rev. Allen Bidne will officiate. Burial: St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Monona. Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Leonard Funeral Home, Monona, and one hour before services Thursday at the church.

Survivors include four children, Paul and Alfred Thiese Jr., both of Brownsville, Texas, Angeline McWane of Iowa City and Myron Thiese of Des Moines.
