Monona, Ia., Jan. 20 - Anton Jacobson, 51, was accidently killed Tuesday afternoon while he was rabbit hunting. Jacobson's gun was discharged as he was climbing over a fence and the bullet struck him in the head, killing him instantly. surviving him are his widow, and six children - Gladys of Elkader, Helen of St. Olaf, Hilda of Elkader, and Ruth, Robert and Oscar at Monona. He is also survived by one sister living in Canada. Funeral arrangements have not been made as yet.

Monona, Ia., Jan. 23 - Funeral services for Anton Jacobson, aged 51, who was accidently killed while hunting rabbits Tuesday noon, were held Friday afternoon from the Norway church, with burial in the Norway cemetery. Surviving are four daughters, Gladys and Sylvia, Elkader; Helen, St. Olaf, and Ruth at home and two sons, Robert and Oscar at home; also one sister living in Canada.

Monona- Anton Jacobson, 51, living on the Wesley Johanningmeier farm five miles southwest of Monona, was killed about noon Tuesday, when the 32 caliber rifle with which he was hunting rabbits was accidentally discharged as he was going through a fence. The bullet from the rifle entered the head below the chin and came out at the top of the head.
Mr. Jacobson had been hunting rabbits near his home on the farm and when he did not return at noon his wife went out to find him. His dead body was found near the fence where the accident occurred, indicating that death had been instantaneous.
The deceased is survived by his widow and six children, namely, Gladys and Sylvia at Elkader; Helen who teaches school at St. Olaf; Ruth, Robert and Oscar, at home. One sister at Moose Jaw, Canada, also survives.
Funeral services will be held at the late home and in Norway church, west of St. Olaf tomorrow afternoon.
The family has the sincere sympathy of all.

Anton Jacobson, son of the late Erland and Mrs. Karen Jacobson, was born in Nessoden, near Oslo, Norway, 51 years ago. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church in Norway. He grew to manhood in Norway.
In 1903 he married Maria Kristoferson. In 1905 he came to America and worked for John F. Johnson.
At the death of his son Alf in Norway, he returned to Norway, but after a short time he returned with his wife to St. Olaf, where they have lived ever since, except for about a year and a half in South Dakota, where he homesteaded, and the past four years in Monona township.
Jan. 19, 1932, while out hunting, he accidently shot himself and died instantly. Those who mourn his departure are his true and faithful wife, four daughters, Gladys, Helen, Solveig and Ruth, two sons, Malcolm and Oscar. His aged mother (85) in Norway, two sisters, Mrs. Caspara Carlstad, Oslo, Norway, and Mrs. Elida Pipes of Moose Jaw, Canada; two brothers, Otto Jacobson, Oslo, Norway, and Sigurd Jacobson, of Butte, Mont., and other relatives and numerous friends.
The funeral services were held at the Norway church Friday afternoon, Jan. 22. Interment was in the Norway cemetery. Rev. S. J. Strandjord officiated and a large crowd attended and showed their sympathy to the bereaved family. May he rest in peace and his memory never be forgotten.
