Cedar Rapids- Joshua Lee Mohning, 10, of 4873 First Ave. SW, Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, April 3, 2001, in his home surrounded by his family. Services: 10 a.m. Friday, Trinity Lutheran Church, Cedar Rapids. Burial: 3:30 p.m. Friday, St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Monona. The Rev. Parker Knoll will officiate. Friends may call at Turner Chapel West today from 4 to 8 p.m. and after 9 a.m. at the church.

Survivors include his mother, Sharon Mohning of Cedar Rapids; his father, Rod Mohning of Volga; two brothers, Johnathon and Joseph of Cedar Rapids; and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Arvin Elsbury of Strawberry Point and Mr. and Mrs. Roger Mohning of Monona.

Also surviving are aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Laura Mohning and Esther Palas.

Joshua was born Jan. 22, 1991, in Elkader. He was baptized March 17, 1991, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Monona and received his Bible with his cousin Michael at Faith Lutheran Church in Shell Rock. Joshua was in the third grade at Coolidge Elementary School. He enjoyed fishing, reading, drawing, painting ceramics with his Grandma, spending time on the farm and studying animals and reptiles. He loved spending time with his cousins, friends and love for Eggy the bearded dragon.

Joshua had a great sense of humor and lived life to the fullest. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Family invites all to a dinner at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Volga following the graveside service.
