Garnavillo- Iola G. Ihde, 69, died Sunday in University Hospitals, Iowa City, after a lengthy illness. Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, St. Peter's Lutheran Church. Burial: St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Monona. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, where an American Legion Auxiliary service begins at 6.
Survivors include her husband, Calvin; three sons, Lynn and Daryl, both of Garnavillo, and Allen of Bondurant; and a daughter, Wanda Conway of Iowa.
Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held for Iola Gene Ihde, 69, Wednesday, July 15, 1992, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Garnavillo. Pastor Tom Jones officiated the service with burial in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Monona. Honorary pallbearers were Michael Ihde, Chad Ihde, Patrick Conway, Daniel Conway and James Conway. Pallbearers were Norbert Butikofer, James Keehner, Linford Kinyon, Douglas Ihde, Todd Ihde and Troy Ihde.
Iola Gene Ihde was born July 23, 1922, in Guttenberg, the daughter of Arnold and Hilda (Torrey) Mueller. She graduated from Guttenberg High School in 1939, and went to Elkader Junior College and graduated in 1941 with a teaching certificate. She taught country school in Clayton County until her marriage in 1943. On November 11, 1943, she was united in marriage with Calvin Ihde at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Monona. From 1943 until 1979 they farmed here in Clayton County and retired to Garnavillo the last 13 years. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and held offices at the local and district levels. She died Sunday, July 12, 1992, at the University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City.
Survivors include her husband Calvin; three sons, Lynn and Daryl of Garnavillo, and Allen of Bondurant; and one daughter, Mrs. John (Wanda) Conway of Iowa; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter Lois in 1950; and a sister, Mrs. Hiram (Agnes) Zittergruen.
