Garnavillo- Eileen Lau, 73, of Indianola, formerly of Garnavillo, died Sunday morning in Iowa Methodist Hospital, Des Moines, after a sudden illness. Services: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, where friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today. Burial: Garnavillo City Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Bob; a son, Gary of Dallas; and a sister, Maxine Becker of Decorah. Also surviving are six grandchildren and a great-grandson.

Funeral services were held for Eileen Ella Lau, 73, Wednesday, July 15, 1992, at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Garnavillo. Pastor Neal Solomonson officiated the service with burial in Garnavillo City Cemetery. Pallbearers were Scott Lau, Andy Mistler, Jason Wilson and Greg Cooper.
Eileen Ella Lau was born June 22, 1919, at Strawberry Point, the daughter of James and Margaret (Brown) Hyde. She graduated from Strawberry Point High School. On December 8, 1940, she was united in marriage with Robert (Bob) Lau at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Garnavillo. They were motel and apartment managers and for the last 12 years they resided in Indianola. She died Sunday, July 12, 1992, at the Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, following a brief illness.
Survivors include her husband Bob; a son, Gary of Dallas, Texas; six grandchildren; one great-grandson, Tyson; and a sister Mrs. Maxine (Jay) Becker of Decorah.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara K. Carroll in January 2, 1979; and three brothers, Clark, Donald and Leo
