Elkader- Services for Floyd Hook, 45, who died at his home in Dubuque Sunday morning, will be conducted Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Hook, and at 2 p.m. at the Evangelical and Reform Church. The body will be at the Witt Funeral Home until Tuesday, and then will be taken to the home of his parents.

Floyd LeRoy Hook, 44, died at 4:30 a.m. Sunday at his home at 1 1/2 Bluff Street, Dubuque. He had been in failing health for the past ten months.
Born April 12, 1905, in Elkader, he attended the Elkader public school, and graduated from Pitts Barber college. His family moved to Dubuque Sept. 01, 1941, and he resided there ever since. He was a member of Peace Evangelical and Reformed church of Elkader while residing here.
Surviving are his wife, the former Ruth Marie Sass, whom he married Dec. 25, 1928 at McGregor, and his daughter, Beverly Jean, living at home in Dubuque; his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. John Hook, one sister, Mrs. Dillis Walters, and his nephew, Duane Hass, all of Elkader.
Funeral services were held at the Hook residence at 1:30 and at the Peace Evangelical and Reformed church in Elkader at 2 o'clock Wednesday. He was buried in the cemetery at Farmersburg. The Rev. Paul Kitterer officiated. Pallbearers were: Richard Riedl and Archie Ferguson of Dubuque, Donald Wolf, Richard Wolf, Cecil Moyna, and Herman Schrampfer of Elkader.
