Cedar Rapids Gazette, Sat., 8 Oct. 1966.

Sirenus "Cy" Kraus, 55, of 1135 I avenue NE, died Friday following a brief illness. Born May 25, 1911, at Little Port, he lived in Cedar Rapids 15 years.

He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred; one son, Vincent, Jacksonville, Fla.; one daughter, Janice Entwisle, Hiawatha; one sister, Cecilia Carroll, Cedar Rapids; three brothers, Evlyn, Jerome and Cyril, all of Cedar Rapids; six grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Rohn Funeral Home after 6 p.m. Saturday. Then the body will be taken to the Witt & Son Funeral Home at Elkader for services at St. Joseph's Church Monday at 10 a.m. Burial: St. Joseph's Cemetery.
