Elkader- Realto J. "Jake" Kuehl, 78, died Thursday in Central Community Hospital after a long illness. He was an Elkader businessman and former farmer.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce; a daughter, Jolene of Epworth; a son, Jeff of Elkader; five brothers, Norbert and Bernell, both of Garnavillo, Ralph of Strawberry Point, Lyle of Creston, and Gene of Yucaipa, Calif.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Burial: church cemetery. Friends may call this afternoon and Sunday afternoon at the family's residence, 117 1/2 Main St., Elkader. Leonard-Witt's in charge of arrangements.
