Iowa Deaths.
Garnavillo- Earl L. LaBarre, 65. Graveside services: 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Elkader. Memorial mass Monday, 11 a.m., St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Elkader. Visitation after 4 today at Witt's, Elkader, where a Scripture wake service is scheduled at 7:30 tonight.

Services were held Monday, April 20, 1981, for Earl L. LaBarre, 65, a former Garnavillo resident, at St. Joseph Church, Elkader. The Msgr. Francis Friedl officiated. Burial was held April 16 at the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Robert Berns, Donald Berns, Sylvester Wille and Gordon Connell.
Earl L. LaBarre was born April 12, 1916, at St. Paul, Minn., to Leonard and Harriet (Berns) LaBarre. He has lived in St. Paul, Minn., Garnavillo and Pontiac, Mich. He moved to a farm east of Garnavillo in 1938 and his occupation was a carpenter. Earl served in World War II and was a prisoner of war. He died at Veterans Hospital, Iowa City, Tuesday, April 14, 1981.
Those preceding him in death are his parents: his father, May 1, 1967, his mother, November 9, 1964. Survivors include one sister, Velma LaBarre, Elkader, and cousins.
