Cedar Rapids Gazette, Mon., 7 Dec. 1959.

Elkader- Frank O'Brien, 57, Elkader business Man, died Sunday at a Rochester, Minn., hospital following a 3 weeks illness.

Born near Strawberry Point Sept. 17, 1902, he owned and operated the DX oil station on highway 13 here for many years.

Survivors include his wife and four children, Mrs. Howard Myers of Elkader, Edwin of St. Olaf, Mrs. Don Ginsterblom of Great Lakes, Ill., and Ronald at home; his mother, Mary O'Brien of Elkader, and three sisters.

Services are being arranged at McTaggart Funeral Home.
