Oelwein- Irving F. Raftis, 71, died Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 22, 1994, in Marshalltown Medical & Surgical Center after a sudden illness. Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial: St. Joseph Cemetery, Elkader. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Hintz-Geilenfeld Funeral Home, where a rosary will be recited at 7:30.

There are no immediate survivors.

Note: He was the son of Daniel and Anna (Dunn) Raftis. World War II veteran. See obits of his parents and brother Daniel J. Raftis. This family are all buried in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Elkader.
