Strawberry Point- Funeral services for Mrs. Elfie McKinnis MacTaggart, 89, will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Gill funeral chapel in Strawberry Point, the Rev. Robert Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Strawberry Point cemetery.

Mrs. MacTaggart died Tuesday afternoon at the home of her son, Willoughby, near Strawberry Point.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Inez Mitchell, Arlington; five sons, Willoughby, Strawberry Point; Glenn, Raymond, S.D.; Lyal, Arlington; J. Everett, Volga, and Floyd, Colona, Ill. Also 23 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren.

She was born Dec. 1, 1867, near Strawberry Point, the daughter of Charles and Catherine Jane Hughes McKinnis. She was married April 6, 1886, to Duncan MacTaggart. The couple farmed in the Point vicinity until his death in 1942.
