Strawberry Point, Ia. - Funeral services for John Brockens, 65, who died at his home here Saturday morning following a long illness, were held Monday afternoon at Emmanuels Lutheran Church, conducted by the pastor, the Rev. M.O. Jahr. Burial was in Strawberry Point Cemetery.

He was born Oct. 24, 1873 in Wayne Township, Jones County, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Henry Brockens. He was married to Anna Louisa Gamm on Jan. 6, 1909 at Emmanuels Lutheran Church. They lived on a farm a few years, moving to Strawberry Point 25 years ago.

Surviving are his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Adolph Schuchmann and Mrs. Dale Debes, both of Strawberry Point; and four sisters, Mrs. Margeret Zimmermann of Anamosa; Mrs. August Stadtmueller of Monticello; Mrs. Fred Burrack of Artlington; and Mrs. George Bodeker of Amber.
