Elkader- Patrick Downey, 95, a life-long resident of this area, died at his farm home Wednesday. Services will be Friday at St. Joseph's Catholic church at 9:30 a.m.

The Rosary will be recited Wednesday and Thursday at 8 p.m. at the Witt funeral home.

His last surviving sister, Margaret Downey, 90, of Merrill, Wis., died Saturday and was buried Wednesday.

He was born March 19, 1863, near here. He had lived on his present farm for 58 years. His wife, the former Margaret Dinan, died in 1953.

Survivors include 2 sons, Harold of Elkader and Lawrence of Cresco and a daughter, Mrs. Leo Cassutt of Elkader.
