Elkader- John P. Farrell, 74, died Saturday, Jan. 28, at Veteran's Hospital,, Iowa City. He was a long-time resident of Elkader.

Services will be Wednesday, Feb. 1, 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic church. Burial will be in St. Joseph's cemetery. Friends may call after 7 p.m. Monday at the Witt Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at Witt.

Survivors include his wife, Otillie; one sister, Mrs. Charles (Lilly) Pa Piere, Waterloo.
