Cedar Rapids Gazette, Sat., 9 June 1973.

Prairie du Chien, Wis.- A five-month-old infant was dead on arrival at a hospital here Friday evening after choking to death at a local shopping center.

Authorities identified the infant as Patrick Downey, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Downey of rural Garnavillo, Iowa. Witnesses said the infant got an unknown object caught in its throat and began choking.

Services are pending at Tuecke-Allenstein in Garnavillo.
