Eastern Iowa Deaths.

Elkader- Julia A. Farrell, a retired school teacher, died Monday. Services: Thursday at 9:30 a.m. in Witt Funeral Home, and 10 a.m. in St. Joseph's church. Burial: St. Joseph's cemetery.

Julia A. Farrell, pioneer Elkader resident, and former school teacher in the schools of Clayton county died at her home in Elkader early Monday morning.

She had been in ill health for a short time.

She was educated in the Elkader schools and finished her education at Upper Iowa university, Fayette, Iowa..

She was a member of the St. Joseph parish.

Prayer services were held at Witt and Sons funeral chapel at 9:30 a.m. and church services at St. Joseph church, were conducted Thursday.

Burial was in the Catholic cemetery at Elkader. Music was furnished by the St. Joseph Catholic Choir.

Pall bearers were the nephews of the deceased: Raymond Farrell, Edward Farrell, Herman Hackert, Matt Feeney Sy Kraus, James Farrell.

Courtesy cars were furnished by Ray Farrell, Henry Wolf, Chlista Closson, Henry Reinhardt.

Miss Farrell is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Wm. Ecker of West Union, Iowa and Mrs. Estelle Eager of Mitchell, S. Dak. and a number of nieces and nephews.

Those attending the funeral from out of town were: Mrs. Clifton Clauson, Mrs. Ernest Thyer, Waterloo; Mr. and Mrs. Herman Hackert, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Farrell, Strawberry Point; Mrs. Estelle Eager, Mitchell, So. Dak.; Mrs. Wm Ecker, West Union; Mr. and Mrs. James Farrell, Ray Farrell, Cedar Rapids; Mrs. Lucy Farrell, Volga; Mrs. Clifton Conrey, Mason City; Mr. and Mrs. Realto Berns, Ray Finnegan, Elkport; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Graham, Waukon; Mrs. Ed. Vorwald, Hudson, Wis.; Mrs. Elizabeth Ploog, Dubuque.
