Hampton, Mahala death notice 1905

The death of Mahala, daughter of Isaac Hampton, of National, was reported Monday from the hospital at Independence.
~Elkader Register, Thursday evening, Feb. 9, 1905

The only other information I could find about Mahala was this note in the Elkader Argus, March 13, 1901:

Mahala Hampton, the 18 year old daughter of Isaac Hampton, living near National was adjudged insane by the commissioners on Monday. Sheriff Benton and her brother Will took her to Independence Tuesday.
