Garnavillo-- Arnold A. Burr, 92, died Sunday, June 17, 2001, in the Guttenberg Municipal Hospital after a short illness. Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Garnavillo, by Father Richard Gaul. Burial: St. Joseph's Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. today at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Garnavillo, where a wake service begins at 7 p.m.

Survivors include his wife, Regina Schrandt Burr; a son, Maury (Lois) Burr of Cedar Rapids; four grandchildren, Gary (Chris)Burr, Alan (Tracy) Burr, Marcia (Scott) Bell and Brian (Debbie) Burr; 14 great-grandchildren; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Brother Gary Burr SVD and Lloyd in infancy; a brother, Leo Burr; and four sisters, Isabel Entringer, Genva Vorwald, Agnes Vorwald and Leona Hauth.

Born Jan. 9, 1909, on the family farm near Osterdock, he was the son of Frank and Helena Keppler Burr. Arnold worked as a machinist at the Silica Sand Mine in Clayton.
