Guttenberg-- Stanley W. Jacobs, 81, died Saturday, Oct. 31, 1998, in his home after a long illness. Private services: Guttenberg City Cemetery, by Rev. Karl Goodfellow. There will be no visitation. Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Guttenberg, is in charge of arrangements.

Surviving family members are three nephews, three nieces and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Walter and George; and six sisters, Emma and Helen Jacobs, Irene McGuffin and three in infancy.

Born May 16, 1917, in Guttenberg, Iowa, Stanley was a son of George M. and Elizabeth Kickbush Jacobs. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the Army in the southern Philippines and New Guinea campaign, and worked in transportation with the Federal Barge Line for many years.
