Garnavillo-- Walter M. Meier, 90, died Friday evening in Guttenberg Municipal Hospital, Guttenberg, following a long illness.

Survivors include his wife, Iona; a daughter, Doris Engstrom of Obot Idim, Nigeria; three sisters, Florence Becker of McGregor, and Alice Comnick and Hazel Jones, both of Monona; two brothers, Milton of Prairie du Chien, Wis., and Willis of Postville; and two grandchildren.

Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday, St Paul Lutheran Church. Burial: Garnavillo City Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Monday in Tuecke-Allyn's.
