Oelwein Daily Register, Wed., 7 Jan. 1970.

Mrs. Mae W. Friend, 84, Oelwein resident, died Tuesday, Jan. 6, at Mercy Hospital in Oelwein.

Services will be held Friday, 10 a.m., at Sacred Heart church, Oelwein, with burial in St. Joseph's Catholic cemetery in Elkader. The Hintz Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements, where friends may call after 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Parish rosary will be recited at (?) p.m. Thursday in the Hintz chapel, and all DAR members are asked to join in the rosary.

survivors include one niece, one nephew, two grandnieces, one grandnephew.
