Elgin Echo, Thur., 2 Oct. 1947.

J. J. Finnegan, 71, former deputy clerk and clerk of district court of Clayton county, died Friday evening at his home in Elkader, following a long illness. Funeral services were held Monday morning at St. Joseph's Catholic church and burial was made in the Elkader Cemetery.
