Elkader-- Catherine H. Carroll, 81, of Elgin, Ill., formerly of the Elkader and Garber areas, died Saturday, Oct. 5, 1996, in St. Joseph's Hospital, Elgin, Ill., after a brief illness. Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Elkader. Burial: church cemetery. The Rev. Thomas Rhomberg will officiate. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today and 7 to 10:15 a.m. Wednesday at Leonard Funeral Home, Elkader.

Survivors include a son, Terrence of Elgin, Ill.; two daughters, Paula Dohrer of Elk Grove Village, Ill., and Adeline Mancuso of Palm Springs, Calif.; and two sisters, Eileen Duetsch of Chicago and Iola Kuehl of Elkader.
