Elkader-- Margaret M. Whittle, 91, formerly of Elkader, died Monday, April 15, 1996, in Heritage Acres Care Center, Cedar Rapids, after a long illness. Services: 10 a.m. Friday, St Joseph's Catholic Church, Elkader. The Rev. Thomas Rhomberg will officiate. Burial: St. Mary's Cemetery, Strawberry Point. Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Leonard Funeral Home, Elkader, where there will be a rosary at 4 and Scripture service at 7 p.m.
Survivors include two daughters, JoAnn Sergott of Livonia, Mich., and Catherine Hoppenworth of Cedar Rapids; three sons, Lawrence of Cedarburg, Wis., Michael of Carol Stream, Ill., and Robert of Cedar Rapids; and five sisters, Ruth Meyer of Garnavillo, Catherine Dinan and Eileen Hickey, both of Dubuque, Mary Kenneally of Elkader and Helen Simms of Rawlins, Wyo.
