Mrs. Ben F. Overbeck, 74, of San Bruno, Calif., died in the Peninsula Hospital, Tuesday, March 22. Her husband, a daughter, Mrs. Jack Wistrick, two sons, Frederick and Keith, and Mrs. Overbeck's brother, Otto Schultz, accompanied the body to Monona where her son, Donald, resides. Funeral services were held in St. John's Lutheran Church, Luana, Monday afternoon with burial in the Luana cemetery.

Elizabeth Ann Overbeck, daughter of Henry and Minnie Schultz, was born in Postville, Iowa, Oct. 30, 1885; baptized and confirmed in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Postville; was married to Ben Overbeck, of Luana, Feb. 14, 1907. They lived on a farm near Luana. Since 1942 they shared residences in Elkader, Postville, and in Brisbane and San Bruno, Calif.

Her parents and five brothers, Louis, Alfred, Conrad, Willie and John, preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband; one daughter, Mrs. Frances Wistrick of San Bruno; 3 sons, Donald of Monona, Frederick of San Jose, Calif., and Keith of San Bruno, Calif.; one brother, Otto Schultz of Houston, Texas; one half-brother, Fred Bauder of Des Moines; and nine grandchildren.
