Elkader-- Herman Charles Schlake, 75, Elkader, died Wednesday, Jan. 25 at the Prairie du Chien Convalescent Center.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28 at St. Paul's Lutheran church in Garnavillo. Friends may call after 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Witte Funeral Home in Elkader.

Survivors include his wife, Bertha; two sons, Eldean, Rochester, Minn.; Verdis, Luana; three brothers, John, Marquette; Leroy, Garnavillo; and Victor, Waterville. Also two sisters, Mrs. Alma Hamann, Dubuque, and Mrs. Willie (Nettie) Thoma, Garnavillo and six grandchildren.
