Strawberry Point-- Former Strawberry Point resident Peter DeWitte, 87, died Wednesday, March 7 at Samaritan Nursing Home, Elkader. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 10 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Strawberry Point.

Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Merrill Millard, McPherson, Kansas; Mrs. Frank O'Brien, Elkader; Mrs. Glenn Martelle, Davenport; Mrs. Ernest Eden, and Mrs. Bernard Chapman, both of Arlington. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, two sons and one daughter.

Gill Funeral Home, Strawberry Point, is in charge of services.
