Oelwein Daily Register, Mon., 24 Oct. 1966.
Elkader-- Funeral services were held this afternoon (Monday) for George Ehrhardt, 98, Elkader's oldest resident. He was a retired carpenter and justice of the peace for 14 years.
Services were held at Peace United Church of Christ and burial was in the Eastside Cemetery. Mr. Ehrhardt died Friday night at the hospital here.
He is survived by four sons, Alvin of Elkader, who is with the State Department of Social Welfare; L. J. Ehrhardt, Elkader attorney; Earl of Elmhurst, Ill. and Louis, Albert Lea, Minn.
