Monona, Ia. - Funeral services for Mrs. William Grube, 78, a former resident of Monona, who died at a hospital in Rapid City, S.D., on Saturday, June 17, were held here at the Methodist church Wednesday afternoon. the Rev. R.C. Jerrell, pastor, officiated. Burial was in the City Cemetery.
Mrs. Grube, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Lenth, was born on a farm near Monona, on April 26, 1866. She was married to William Grube in 1890. The couple made their home in Monona for several years. They moved to Elkader, and in 1909 went to Weta, SD., and later to Kadoka, S.D. At the time of her death Mrs. Grube was visiting at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Florence Uhler in Rapid City, S.D. Mr. Grube died in 1941.
Surviving are two sons, Roy, of Basset, Neb., and Clarence, of Rapid City, S.D.; a daughter, Mrs. Florence Uhler, of Rapid City, S.D., 12 grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Emma Rupp and Mrs. Charles Haberichter, of Monona, two brothers, Lou Lenth of Elkader and Henry Lenth of Riceville, Ia.
