Guttenberg, Ia. - Joseph A. Wolter, 66, lifetime resident of Guttenberg, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. William Sodawasser Tuesday morning following a lingering illness.
The funeral will be held from the Steger Funeral Home to St. Mary's church Thursday morning at 9 o'clock, Rev. J.A. Dupont officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
The deceased was born in Guttenberg, March 29, 1877 and on June 5, 1905 he married Mary Burns.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. William Sodawasser, a son, Cpl. Adolph Wolter, somewhere in England; three sisters, Mrs. Catherine Gilbertz, Guttenberg, Mrs. Anna Schmidt, Elizabeth, Ill., and Mrs. Elmer Wagner, McCannon, Ida., two brothers, John of Guttenberg and Charles of Detroit.
His wife, one daughter, parents, two brothers and one sister preceded him in death.
