Harold M. Knight, 99, of Strawberry Point, died Wednesday morning, April 22, 2009, at Regional Medical Center, Manchester, after a brief illness. Funeral services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at United Methodist Church, Strawberry Point, by the Rev. Ronald Bilx. Interment: Cass Township Cemetery, Strawberry Point. Visitation: 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home, Strawberry Point, and one hour before services Monday at the church.

Harold M. Knight was born Sept. 20, 1909, on the Knight family farm near Strawberry Point to William and Grace (Brainard) Knight. He was united in marriage to Leonore Wiltse on Aug. 24, 1930, at Strawberry Point.

Survivors include his children, Dean (Rose Marie) Knight of Strawberry Point, Ruth Feuss of North Liberty, Nolan (Marie) Knight of Strawberry Point and Rita (Richard) Hill of Hiawatha; a niece, JoAnn (Gerald) Bodeker of Robins; 13 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Harold was preceded in death by his wife, Leonore, on Oct. 21, 2000; his parents; and a step-mother, Alvina Knight.
