Garnavillo, Ia. - Funeral services for Fred Seidel, 59, were held here at St. Paul's Church with the Rev. A. Meyer, pastor, officiating. Interment was in the Old Cemetery.
Mr. Seidel died suddenly of a heart attack.
A son of Mr. and Mrs. John Seidel, he was born at Kendallville, Ind., Nov. 25, 1879. The greater part of his life was spent in this vicinity where for many years he worked as helper at the mason trade.
He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Henry Hackman of Guttenberg and Mrs. George Yost of Bagley, Wis., and one brother, Herman, of Guttenberg.

GARNAVILLO: Fritz Jon Seidel was born in Kendallville, Ind., on November 25, 1879. He lived the greater part of his life in Garnavillo, following the trade of a mason. Death came suddenly when he was accompanying a neighbor to chop wood, Feb. 2, 1939, and was due to a heart attack. Mr. Seidel had reached the age of 59 years, two months and seven days.
He is survived by one brother, Herman, of Guttenberg, and two sisters, Mrs. George Yost of Bagley, Wis., and Mrs. Henry Tackman of Guttenberg.
Funeral services were conducted in St. Paul's Lutheran church, Saturday afternoon, with Rev. A. Meyer officiating.
