Elkader (Special)- Word has been received here of the death of Mrs. Mary McNamarra Tuesday evening at her home in Rock Valley. Ia. Mrs. McNamarra has been ill the past two years with pernicious anemia.
She was a former resident of Clayton county, having spent her girlhood days on a farm near Littleport, going to Rock Valley in 1902. She was a sister of the late M. J. O'Connor of Garber, Ia., and an aunt of Miss Verna O'Connor of Elkader. Miss O'Connor, her sister Mrs. William Zittergruen of Garber and Mrs. Verni O'Connor of Dyersville left Thursday for Rock Valley to attend the funeral which will be held Friday at 9 a.m. from the Catholic church.
Mrs. McNamarra is survived by three daughters, Margaret and Eileen at home and Mrs. Robert Thayer; two sons, Walter and Francis, all of Rock Valley, and one brother Ed O'Connor of Amboy, Minn. Her husband and one son, John, preceded her in death.
