K. J. Anderson

Kenneth Joseph Anderson, son of Chris J. Anderson and Rosina Mork Anderson, was born September 22, 1912 near Gunder. He passed away at his home in Postville on Saturday morning at the age of 54 years.

He was baptized and confirmed at the Marion Lutheran Church at Gunder of which he has been a member his entire life.

He was united in marriage to Edna Loftsgard on June 4, 1947. To this union were born three children, who survive.

Mr. and Mrs. Anderson farmed in the Gunder, Clermont, and Postville communities until August, 1965 when they moved to their home in Postville.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Myron and Ruthford; and a nephew and niece.

Surviving are his wife; sons, Curtis and Bruce, and daughter, Karla; a sister, Bessie (Mrs. Orvin Thompson) of Wadena; four brothers, Elver of West Union, Carlyle of Cedar Rapids, Dale of Postville, Arvid of Decorah; a sister-in-law, Aldora of Iowa City; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Monday at the Marion Lutheran Church with Rev. Richard B. Housman officiating. The Schutte Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
