Services Held for Hilma Ihde
Funeral services for Hilma Ihde were held Tuesday, March 22, 1983 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Monona, with Pastor Harold O. Ward officiating. Burial was in Monona City Cemetery. Schultz's Funeral Home in charge of services.
Hilma Mina Marie Ihde, the daughter of William and Frieda Sass Ihde, was born October 17, 1893 on a farm in Giard Township. She was baptized by Pastor J. W. Seifert at Clayton Center, confirmed at St. John's Lutheran, Farmersburg. She grew up on a farm near Farmersburg and received her education at the Bismark School. In 1919 she moved with her parents to Monona where she lived until she took up residency at the Good Samaritan Center, Postville, Iowa. She died Sunday, March 20, 1983 at the Good Samaritan Center having reached the age of 89 years, 5 months, 3 days.
Preceding her in death were her parents, two brothers, Elmer and Herb and one sister, Mrs. Wm. (Linda) Krick, one niece and one nephew.
Surviving is her sister, Mrs. Hubert (Elsie) Lenth of Monona, sister-in-law, Mrs. Elmer Ihde, also of Monona and eight nieces and nephews and many friends.
