Christine Ann Groden, 62, loving mother and grandmother from Boothwyn, Pennsylvania died September 7, 2011 at Crozer Chester Medical Center after a long battle with cancer.

Christine was born January 31, 1949 in McGregor, Iowa to Milton and Wilma (Stoecker) Franck. She lived in Monona, Iowa, California, Japan, and Germany during her growing up years when her father was in the Air Force. She also lived in New York, New Jersey, and moved to Boothwyn in 1986. Chris was a longtime employee with Fidelity/Wachovia Bank. She was also employed at Kohl's Department Store from 1997-2011. Chris enjoyed spending time at the beach and an occasional trip to Atlantic City. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Everyone admired her strengths and abilities throughout the years.

She is survived by Robert J. Groden; her four loving children Rob (Melissa), John (Jessica), Melanie (Rob), and Michael (Jen); grandchildren Paige, Kathryn, Isabella, Anastasia, Ava, Kelsey, Joslyn, and Miquel; sisters, Sheila Alsman, and Renee Zimmerman; niece, Angie Leo and nephew, Johnny Zimmerman.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Milton and Wilma Franck; her brother Randolph "Randy" Franck; her maternal grandmother Wilma Babbitt; her uncles Carl Stoecker and Eugene Timmerman and her aunt Evelyn Kelly.

Memorial services were held at the Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be given to the American Cancer society.
