Donovon Wolter Passes On
Donovon Wolter, 15 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. George Wolter, passed away Sunday morning at six o'clock at the Postville hospital following his removal there after he had suffered injuries in an accident.
About noon Saturday Donavon was assisting his father in extricating their truck from a rut in the road into which it had skidded. While pushing the truck Donavon slipped and fell under the truck and the rear wheels passed over his body, crushing his right shoulder and chest.
Funeral services will be held this afternoon at the Lutheran church with the Rev. Paul W. Adix officiating.
He is survived by his parents, one brother, Duane, his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wolter, and numerous other relatives and friends.

Luana, Ia. - Funeral arrangements were completed here Tuesday for Donovan Wolter, 15-year-old high school freshman, who was fatally injured in a truck accident. The last rites will be held Wednesday afternoon at St. John's Lutheran church here, with burial in the Luana Cemetery. The youth was the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Wolter of Luana. At the time he and several other men were attempting to prevent a loaded truck driven by his father from sliding sideways on the ice. The victim, however, fell in the path of the machine and the rear wheel passed completely over his chest, resulting in internal injuries. He was rushed to the Postville hospital, where his death occurred Sunday. Surviving are the parents and one brother, Dwayne at home.
~Dubuque Telegraph-Herald, Tuesday evening edition, February 23, 1943Luana, Ia. - Funeral services for Donovan Wolter, 15, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Wolter, were held in St John's Lutheran Church here with the Rev. Paul Adix, pastor, officiating. Burial was in the Luana Cemetery. The pallbearers were classmates: Robert Neverman, Robert Collins, Marvin Kruse, Frederick Doerring, Kenneth Palmer, and Gordon DeSotal. The youth died Feb. 21 in the Postville Hospital of injuries received when he was accidentally run over by a truck.

Donovan Walters, 15-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. George Walters [sic] of Luana, was fatally injured Saturday morning while helping his father with a load of grain. In some way the boy slipped and the truck passed over him. He was rushed to the Postville hospital, where he died Sunday morning.
The youth was a freshman in the Luana Consolidated school. Besides his parents, he is survived by one brother, Dwain. He is a nephew of Mr. and Mrs. Art Walters of this place.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the home and 2 o'clock at the Lutheran church in Luana.
