McGregor, Ia. - Funeral services for Miss Amalia Fessman, 67, were held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Pilkington Funeral Home here with the Rev. E.H. Johnson, pastor of the Congregational Church officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Miss Fessman died Monday after a long illness.
She was born in McGregor on July 8, 1875, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Fessman. she spent her entire life in McGregor except for 10 school years which, after the death of her parents, she lived in Somerville, Mass., with her sister, Miss Kathinka Fessman, manual training teacher there. Since her sister's retirement two years ago, the two have lived in the old home here.
Miss Fessman was an active member of the local Rebekah lodge. Surviving besides her sister is a brother, Hermann of Minneapolis.
