Guttenberg, Ia. - funeral services for Mrs. Charles J. Adams were tentatively set Wednesday for Thursday. Her death occurred Monday night at her home here. Surviving are her husband and one son, Harold, at home.

Guttenberg, Ia. - The funeral of Mrs. C.J. Adam, 68, was held here Thursday afternoon at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with burial at Volga City. Mrs. Adam died Monday night at her home here following a several months illness.
She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Ruktaschel and was born at Clayton. In 1890 she married Mr. Adam at Garnavillo and four years later they moved to Guttenberg where Mr. Adam was named city superintendent of schools. In 1900 they moved to Elkader when Mr. Adam was appointed Clayton County superintendent of schools. Since 1910 they lived in Guttenberg.
Mrs. Adam was a member of the OES and St. Paul's Guild.
Surviving are her husband; one son, Harold at home; and one sister, Mrs. Lena Schumacher of Garnavillo.
