Garnavillo, Ia. - Funeral services for William Carl Theodore, Sr., 73, who died Sunday at Finley Hospital in Dubuque, will be held here Wednesday afternoon in St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
Mr. Theodore was born in Germany on May 27, 1869, the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Theodore. The family moved to Clayton Center in 1874. On February 17, 1897 he was married to Lena Anna Dehn and they made their home on a farm east of Garnavillo until 1931 when they retired and moved to Clayton.
He is survived by his widow; four children, Mrs. Arno Stickfort of Garnavillo, Mrs. Elmer Mueller of Sioux Falls, S.D., William, Jr., of Dubuque and Alto of Wadena; [12*] grandchildren and one great grandchild; three sisters, Mrs. Fred Sass of McGregor, Mrs. Otto Siefert of Clayton Center, and Mrs. William Mueller of Guttenberg; and one half-brother, Henry Huebner.
He was preceded in death by one daughter and one sister.
