Guttenberg, Ia. - Funeral services for Fred Charles Waterman, 47, were held here Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with the Rev. D.A. Flesner of Clayton Center officiating. Burial was in the City Cemetery.
Mr. Waterman, who was employed by the Clayton County Highway Maintenance Department, died suddenly Tuesday night at his home here following a heart attack.
He was born Jan. 22, 1896, at Elkport, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Waterman. He was married Jan 21, 1922, to Nora Perrott and 18 years ago they moved to Guttenberg, since their home.
Surviving are his widow; two children, Dwight, who is employed on a river tug, and Norrine, a senior in high school; his mother; three brothers, Lawrence, Arnold and Alvin, all of Elkport; and six sisters, Mrs. Manda Amsden, Mrs. Lena Schultz, Mrs. Freda Parkinson, Irma and Mrs. Ida Hansel, all of Elkport, and Mrs. Edna Burlington of Strawberry Point.
